Shimako Sato was born in 1964 in Iwate, Japan. She is a writer and director, known for Tale of a Vampire (1992), K-20: The Fiend with Twenty Faces (2008) and Eko Eko Azarak II: Birth of the Wizard (1996). She has been married to Takashi Yamazaki since April 2012.
